I’m a lifelong learner who enjoys trying new things.  From an early age I was taking things apart to see how they work, and sometimes I would be able to get them back together.  I like the challenge of learning something new, and figuring things out.
Along the way I managed to acquire a degree in experiential education, and have had the great fortune to provide others the opportunity to learn by doing for a good number of years while teaching for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).
I continue to try new things, sometimes simply because I haven’t tried them before.  This blog is one example and a chronicle of those experiences.
Ultimately I am trying to figure it all out as I go along through this thing called life.
